Caltex Riau Polytechnic represented by Mrs. Dr. Yohana Dewi Lulu, S. Si., M.T. as the Head of Information Technology and Mr. Ardiyanto Wibowo, S.Kom., M.T. as an Information Technology lecturer visited the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Telkom University in the context of “Benchmarks related to the implementation of Teaching Factory, Teaching Industry and Center of Excellent”, on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. The visit was warmly welcomed by Mr. Angga Rusdinar, ST, MT, Ph.D. as the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Telkom University and a Structural representative in the Meeting Room of the Leaders of the Faculty of Applied Sciences.
Mr. Angga Rusdinar, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. as the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences led the discussion on the implementation of the Teaching Factory, Teaching Industry, and the Center of Excellence at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Telkom University. He stated that it was necessary to prepare facilities for mastering technology. To support these activities, the Faculty of Applied Sciences has prepared 43 labs including lab practicums, research labs, and lab workshops. Then the Faculty of Applied Sciences has also prepared a Start-Up which is fostered by lecturers, and a sandbox (Hotel Lingian) which is a forum for research by lecturers at the Faculty of Applied Sciences. This discussion took place with great enthusiasm and was followed by a question-and-answer session.
Mrs. Dr. Yohana Dewi Lulu, S. Si., M.T. as a representative from Caltex Riau Polytechnic expressed his hope for learning and sharing in the implementation of Teaching Factory, Teaching Industry, and Center of Excellence at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Telkom University. This is aimed at granting activities related to the implementation of the Teching Factory, Teaching Industry, and Center of Excellence which is currently being carried out by Caltex Riau Polytechnic. At the end of the visit, representatives from Caltex Riau Polytechnic had the opportunity to visit the Telkom University Open Library, Bandung Techno Park, and tour the Telkom University campus.
