D3 Telecommunication Engineering Program recently held Telkom University Internet of Things Competition on October 24th, 2017. Telkom University IoT Competition 2017 is a national competition in designing Internet of Things systems in health, home automation, smart city, transportation , agriculture, disaster, logistics and tourism.
Telkom University IoT Competition 2017 takes the theme; “Telkom University IoT Competition 2017- Toward The Future Communication Technology”. This competition is divided into 2 categories of competition, which is the Higher Education level and University level.

According to Mr. Unang Sunarya as chairman of the committee, the committee received more than 70 proposals of the Internet of Things from High school and University level. Then 18 teams are selected by the jury to qualify for the finals. The 18 teams then presented their work in front of the jury. The jury led by Dr. Khoirul Anwar, a wireless researcher and Lecturer of Telkom University, then conducted an assessment of the work of the participants.

A lot of innovations are displayed by participants, among others arepayment systems for public transportation, “Smart Pond” a smart way to raise fish with the concept of the Internet of Things etc.
In this event also attended Miss Internet of West Java Jessica Agrippina Yo, Professor Adiwijaya from Telkom University, and Mr Martin Kurnadi CEO Geeknesia.
