In carrying out the curriculum, Faculty of Applied Sciences implementing competency-based learning. Competency is the accumulation of a person’s ability to carry out a job, through the aspect of self-reliance and individual responsibility at work. These capabilities are:
Able to finish the job, select the appropriate method from the various options, and analyzing the data
Mastering the theoretical concept of this area of knowledge, as well as to formulate problem solving.
Able to manage work in groups and prepare a written report comprehensively.
Responsible for his own work and can be given responsibility.
Each course is divided into a number of study materials that demonstrate competencies. To determine the level of competence, each study will be assess to determine the degree of understanding
Graduate of the Faculty of Applied Sciences is expected to become personally ready to work. In addition to technical skills (hard skills), graduates are expected to have good soft skills. To train your soft skills and to implement the noble values and ethics of professionalism, there is a continuous learning as outlined in the Noble Character Education conducted over four semesters.
To get closer to the world of work, there are also an Industrial Work scheme available, which provides real work experience at leading companies.
